AFP World Tour
Tahoe City, CA (August 1, 2012) - The Association of Freeskiing Professionals (AFP) announced today the tentative 2013 AFP World Tour Calendar with dates of scheduled AFP sanctioned events as well as sanctioned events that are still in the process of confirming dates and sanctioning levels.
AFP’s Executive Director, Eric Zerrenner, explains why publishing the Calendar now is necessary: "With the Olympic Qualifying Period beginning July 1, we set an August 1 release date for the [2013 AFP] World Tour Calendar for a couple of reasons. 1) to give athletes as much time as possible to review the calendar and plan their competition schedule accordingly, and 2) to motivate event organizers to submit their event applications as early as possible and get their sanctioned event confirmed within the World Tour calendar."
